[OC] Which front offices and agents are the 3 major newsbreakers connected to? I went through 6000+ tweets to find out!

If this sounds somewhat familiar, that's because I did a 2019-2020 version and posted it back in March.
In terms of changes from that post:
TL;DR
Tracked tweets of Woj, Shams and Haynes from 2018-2020 to see whether any of them report on a certain team or a certain agent's players more than their counterparts. Here is the main graph concerning a reporter's percentage of tweets per team separated into three periods (2019 season, 2020 offseason, 2020 season). Here is a separate graph with the Lakers and Warriors, because Haynes's percentages would skew the first graph.

During times like the NBA trade deadline or the lifting of the NBA free-agency moratorium, it’s not uncommon to see Twitter replies to (or Reddit comments about) star reporters reference their performance relative to others.
Woj is the preeminent scoop hound, but he is also notorious for writing hit pieces on LeBron (sources say it’s been widely rumoured that the reason for these is that Woj has always been unable to place a reliable source in LeBron’s camp). On the other end of the spectrum, it has been revealed that in exchange for exclusive intel on league memos and Pistons dealings, Woj wrote puff pieces on then-GM Joe Dumars (see above Kevin Draper link). Last summer, Woj was accused of being a Clippers shill on this very discussion board for noticeably driving the Kawhi Leonard free agency conversation towards the team.
This is the reason I undertook this project: to see whether some reporters have more sources in certain teams (and certain agencies) than other reporters.
First I’ll explain the methodology, then present the data with some initial comments.

Methodology

To make this manageable on myself, I limited myself to tracking the 3 major national reporters: Shams Charania of the Athletic, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports and the aforementioned Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The time period I initially tracked for was from January 1, 2020 to the end of the regular season March, but after finding a Twitter scraping tool on GitHub called Twint, I was able to easily retrieve all tweets since September 27, 2018. However, a month ago, Twitter closed their old API endpoints, and Twint ceased to work. I used vicinitas.io but the data loading became more time-consuming. Therefore, the tweets are up to the date of October 15 2020.
How I determined information was by manually parsing text tweets by the reporter (no retweets):
Now, I didn’t take every single text tweet:
Next, I had to assign possible teams to each tweet:
With all the methodology out of the way, here’s the data! (Here’s a link to a full Google Sheet)

Teams

Here's a graph of number of tweets per team per period, with the colours denoting reporter.
On a quick glance, here's which teams saw a significant period-over-period increase in number of tweets:
And here's which teams saw decreases over a period-by-period basis:
The problem with just using number of tweets is that it's not close on totals between Haynes vs. Woj or Shams. Here's a graph showing total number of tweets in each period for all three reporters. Haynes's most reported period doesn't even stack up to the least reported period of Woj or Shams.
Instead, let's look at percentage of tweets per team per period.
Now, you'll notice that there's two teams missing from the above graph: the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. Here's the graphs for those two teams. As you can see, they would skew the previous graph far too much. During the 2019 NBA season, 27% of Chris Haynes's qualifying tweets could be possibly linked to the Warriors, and 14% of his qualifying tweets could be possibly linked to the Lakers.

Agents

Here's the top 10 agents in terms of number of potential tweets concerning their clients.
Agent Haynes Shams Woj Total
Rich Paul 15 28 24 67
Mark Bartelstein 4 16 30 50
Jeff Schwartz 3 10 25 38
Bill Duffy 2 13 14 29
Leon Rose 1 12 15 28
Aaron Mintz 2 9 15 26
Juan Perez 5 10 8 23
Aaron Goodwin 11 8 1 20
Steven Heumann 1 6 12 19
Sam Permut 1 13 5 19
Woj has the most tweets directly connected to agents by far. It wasn't uncommon to see "Player X signs deal with Team Y, Agent Z of Agency F tells ESPN." The agents that go to Woj (and some of their top clients):
One thing I found very intriguing: 15/16 of tweets concerning an Aaron Turner client were reported on by Shams. Turner is the head of Verus Basketball, whose clients include Terry Rozier, Victor Oladipo and Kevin Knox. Shams also reported more than 50% of news relating to clients of Sam Permut of Roc Nation. Permut is the current agent of Kyrie Irving, after Irving fired Jeff Wechsler near the beginning of the 2019 offseason. Permut also reps the Morris brothers and Trey Burke.
As for Chris Haynes, he doesn't really do much agent news (at least not at the level of Woj and Shams). However, he reported more than 50% of news relating to clients of Aaron Goodwin of Goodwin Sports Management, who reps Damian Lillard and DeMar DeRozan.
Here are the top 10 free agents from Forbes, along with their agent and who I predict will be the first/only one to break the news.
Player Agent Most Likely Reporter
Anthony Davis Rich Paul Too close to call, leaning Shams
Brandon Ingram Jeff Schwartz Woj
DeMar DeRozan Aaron Goodwin Haynes
Fred VanVleet Brian Jungreis Limited data
Andre Drummond Jeff Schwartz Woj
Montrezl Harrell Rich Paul Too close to call, leaning Shams
Gordon Hayward Mark Bartelstein Woj
Danilo Gallinari Michael Tellem Woj
Bogdan Bogdanovic Alexander Raskovic, Jason Ranne Limited data, but part of Wasserman, whose players are predominantly reported on by Woj
Davis Bertans Arturs Kalnitis Limited data
Thanks for reading! As always with this type of work, human error is not completely eliminated. If you think a tweet was mistakenly removed, feel free to drop me a line and I’ll try to explain my thought process on that specific tweet! Hope y’all enjoyed the research!

Is it rational to give up during a pandemic?

[CW: emotional outpouring]
I (22 y.o.) just found out that my cousin, who visited us last night to drink with my brother (29 y.o.), tested positive for COVID-19. I am currently living with my mother (57 y.o.) and her boyfriend (55 y.o.) supposedly to hide from the pandemic that's currently on our doorstep.
I want to blame people. Isn't that natural? I mean, I have grown hoarse admonishing my older brother for hosting family members in our house but he and my mum keep colluding to break all my quarantine precautions. Why? I don't know. Maybe it's in our blood to be disagreeable. Maybe it's because I'm the Weird Science Kid who does everything out of weirdness. No one listens to me in this house. I have lost all semblance of persuasion points ever since the pandemic started and now I can't get any of them back.
(I would like to mention that we do not live in the US so this is not a Culture War-related thing. It's just that, I live in a third world country where "honor thy father and mother" is the national motto.)
So, cool. My brother is the kind of person who has never taken any responsibility whatsoever for the consequences of his actions. He has weaseled his way out of child support and has somehow lived on allowances from his neverending stream of girlfriends since 2012. I get it. Maybe it's a coping thing, 'cause we both have ADHD but I'm the only one who bothered to get himself diagnosed.
My mum and her boyfriend support us on a household income of $8200 a year. But y'know, economics is magic and somehow we have a roof over our heads with running water six days a week.
I know why she's going with everything my brother is doing. Because...she's given up. In my country, when you fire someone you are bound by law to compensate them an amount that scales linearly with the amount of time they've been with the company. Unless the employee willingly resigns that is, so what a lot of employers do is to target employees who they want to quit until they give up. My mum, being almost of retirement age (which would entitle her to yet another round of compensation which her employer understandably doesn't want to pay) is currently undergoing this treatment, and has had five or six breakdowns in the last two weeks alone.
So yeah, she doesn't have enough emotional bandwidth to deal with all this. And well, her boyfriend is dutifully keeping out of our squabbles because, hell, why the fuck do you need to discipline a 29 year old?
Now, I didn't use to live with my family. Back in March, I had a place to myself, but the pandemic encroached too quickly and I had to flee. Was that irresponsible? Maybe. When I was five, my kidneys failed and my entire body swelled up like a balloon. Since then I've been in and out of clinics until I decided to take up swimming in college. That, plus my asthma has made me a care a little bit about my own prospects when push comes to shove.
I have moved at least three more times since then, often within two hours of hearing about a gross violation of quarantine or a new case nearby. I have grown tired, and my savings are dwindling. But y'know, you gotta continue living so here we are.
Now you might think, "OP, you're doing all right. You're a STEM major who knows how to code. Why don't you apply to remote jobs so you can keep yourself afloat?"
The trouble is, I...never actually finished my degree. Instead, in my junior year I founded a startup.
"Cool, so you're rich?"
"Nope, but I did get a PC out of it."
I'm sorry, folks. I didn't say I was good at money. Y'know, I even had the chance to invest 2000 USD on Bitcoin a couple of months before it went kaput but like most of you here, I failed.
Let's think about my options here. On one hand, medicine marches constantly and there's going to be a huge financial incentive to figure out how to treat CFS after all this. Furthermore, there is a tiny but still nontrivial chance that we're going to solve longevity within our lifetimes, so what's 25-30 years of suffering for potentially thousands of years, right?
On the other hand, there's eleventy-seven reasons why you can't be part of that Eternal 10000. Stem cell therapy today costs up to $50000/year and it's not like we have powerful financial incentives pointed at living longer.
And the thing is, I'm seeing inpatient COVID-19 costs here hovering around $40 000 per individual. There are three of us in the house who are highly susceptible, and to be honest with meager salaries even ONE case is enough to bankrupt all of us [1].
So anyway, two years ago I left my previous startup to look for greener pastures. I found it in February, when someone believed in me enough to (angel) invest in me! So I founded a new startup because I have to make him whole, right?
Let's face it, I still live in a third-world country. No matter how smart I am or how good I am at programming, the fact that I haven't finished my degree means I'll have a decades-long uphill battle to immigrate to a decent country AND that's if I'm going to be healthy after all this is over. Who's going to hire a doubly disabled person who can't work long hours? [2]
It's feels so...wrong writing out all this. I'm supposed to be stoic, y'know. Founders are supposed to be an unstoppable force, or else we're whiny asses who probably can't do anything right if our life depended on it. In Silicon Valley, there's this weird, unspoken sense that everything you do can be used against you. "The best founders are X, the most successful startups are Y"—implying that if you're neither X nor Y you should probably just go home. There are always these slots you have to fill and character traits you have to have so VCs can trust that you can build a billion-dollar business with their money. I mean, you can't really blame them because they are moving a lot of money. VCs are pattern matchers: no one wants to waste >6 zeros on their term sheet for coke and not much else, and the less risk they need to deal with the better.
So imagine a choice between someone like me and an earnest suburban kid who's lived all his life in California and went to an Ivy League and had access to a proper hospital during the worst pandemic in recent memory. Of course you'll pick that kid. I'd pick him if I were in their shoes.
Paul Graham once distilled the worst founders into one trait: hapless. The inability to control one's environment, the complacency of letting the world have its way with you. And so by implication being the opposite, i.e., being relentlessly resourceful, is the mark of a great founder. But what if your challenge is big enough for the history books? What if it's the mental and physical deterioration of everyone you hold dear? What if shit doesn't just happen, it keeps happening day after day and there's a hungry wolf stalking you and you still have to deal with the faceless bureaucracy of the USCIS and then run a startup on top of all this during a recession?
What if...some people just aren't destined to participate in certain parts of the economy? Wouldn't that make things simpler?
In the spirit of having retaining some semblance of agency, I have outlined the possible paths I can take before I hit rock bottom:
And if none of these work, well, maybe we just can't tsuyoku naritai the shit out of everything.
[1]: Does my mum have health insurance? Yes, from the government. Is the government currently dissolving said health department due to corruption? You bet.
[2]: I'm really sorry if this is incoherent, but to be clear: I'm oscillating between founding a company and getting a proper job. The reason why the latter is such a difficult option to take is because ADHD and entrepreneurship go together like salt and fries, and I'm >85% confident that it's going to be really difficult for me to survive in an office environment based on how I know I work.

My story of psychosis (LONG)

My story starts when I was 16 and first started smoking weed as I have cannabis induced psychosis. I started smoking daily as my boss at a dodgy bitcoin for cash trading company introduced me to weed. I began acting erratically, having outbursts at my friends and making irrational decisions like choosing to skip school and smoke weed. I was smoking 7-14g a day and was high from the moment I woke up till I fell asleep, to put it succinctly I was addicted to weed. I ended up getting kicked out of school for having weed on me and just fell deeper into the cycle of doing immoral things to make money and spending copious amounts on weed all day everyday.
Then another pivotal event happened. I tried LSD. This left me with HPPD as visual snow and I believe marks the point where I really began developing psychosis. I started to withdraw socially and the onset of negative symptoms began with my motivation dwindling and my cognitive function declining. I was working as tech support but I got fired and started sixth form at 17 (one year late). Around this time is when I first started hearing voices. There were a few different elements to the voices: at home I would believe it was the neighbors talking about me and out and about I would think it was people around me talking about me.
I will talk about the effects of being out and about first; it led me to further socially withdraw as the voices were critical of me and chastised me about my insecurities. For instance when walking past the canteen outside I thought I could overhear two girls talking about how I walked like a nerd. I was very insecure about how I walked as I thought I had a slouch and was also mystified by girls as I had gone to an all boys school from 11-16 and really didn't know how to talk to them and only a few of them seemed to like me namely this one girl Priya.
That brings me onto the voices at home, there were two female ones and a male one which coincided with the neighbors (two girls around my age and an older brother). These voices were with me just at night time to begin with and then 24/7 whilst I was at home. They would primarily talk about me and what they thought of me. A big theme was if I was “real” or not pertaining to being a gangster. Something which I considered myself to be as I did gangster things and hung out with real gangsters who sold drugs and stabbed people I had also done county lines which I was proud of (and still am somewhat to this day) the elephant in the room being I am a nerd and definitely not a gangster. One of the girls and “her brother” were somewhat critical of me and would question if I was real or even a good guy and the other girl (I never gave names to any of the voices I assumed I would find out their names when I finally met up with my neighbours) would always defend me and stick up for me.
Now this brings me onto the biggest embarrassment in my life. I began to fall in love with the good voice. My friends were all platonic (I had ended my first real relationship) and close ones were just manipulating me for free weed; I had pushed away all the real friends in favour of the manipulators because I was naive and psychotic (so I couldn't judge character correctly), nasty combination. Back to this voice I didn't just outwardly say I love her straight away it took 8 months of her defending me and always having my back over the other voices for me to actually admit it.
Now i'll focus more on how that came about. A delusion I had was that my neighbors were watching me through a camera hence the voices I could hear commenting on my actions who I believed to be my neighbours watching me for some sort of secret societies program. I also made the inference that I could get their boss to watch and then their bosses boss and then their bosses bosses boss e.x.t. by rhyming every word with three different meanings. To give some context these thoughts came about after smoking 2 grams of really good weed (gorilla glue). But I did just that, spoke to the “camera” whilst rhyming and believing that the upper echelons of this secret society were watching me live. I also thought they were going to make me prime minister. So what did I do? I put on my suit and went over to my neighbours house thinking I was about to meet this girl who was crazy for me and also become the prime minister. They didn't open the door.
My parents had been watching this unfold and eventually took me to the hospital to get checked out. When I realised what was going on I ran out of the hospital and walked 6.5 miles on the way home (I know the city quite well and didn't have my phone so I couldn't use google maps) but as I was one street away from home the police and my dad both came at the same time (in different cars). The police searched me and put me in cuffs then took me back to the hospital.
I ended up getting sectioned and taken to the hospital. It became clear to me after being there that I was mentally unwell and I stopped believing all the delusions things and realised I was hearing voices. I even made and edited a video with a collection of clips I had filmed of the antics inside the hospital. Unfortunately this clarity only lasted 2 weeks as then I became delusional again. When coming in from the outside area I one of the patients turned round and looked at me simultaneously I heard a voice saying “this is how it works”, the same sounding voice as his. I then believed I was in the telepathic illuminati training camp and that my long monolog in my room had in fact been recorded by a camera and had led to a revolution within this secret society that ran the world.
I fell down this rabbit hole and started believing the ads on TV were all about my tirade in this testing facility to become the new leader of this organisation. I also believed that all the other patients were actors who were testing me to see if I had what it takes. Some characters included: a man who had killed 6000+ people, the new transport minister, a worker in a human slaughtering warehouse, a MI5 spy.
As I believed the voices were me telepathically hearing thoughts I thought all the staff were in love with me and wanted to sleep with me. Fuck. This led to many awkward encounters that I would really rather not relive. My delusions just got worse and worse until I was eventually let out of hospital after 3.5 months. I was then psychotic for another 5 months but eventually I stopped smoking weed and the medication was able to do its job. And believe it or not i'm fully recovered now and doing an access to HE course and will be studying business at uni. Funny how things work out in the end aint it?

Particl Marketplace: Where Sellers Meet Buyers

Particl Marketplace: Where Sellers Meet Buyers
People had been speculating since the dawn of crypto when the world’s largest online marketplaces, the ones of the Amazon caliber like eBay, Etsy or AliExpress, and, well, Amazon itself, would start to accept cryptocurrencies. There were a slew of rumors, opinions, and theories thickly interspersed with false reports popping up here and there of Amazon and its little cousins being on the verge of embracing cryptocurrencies. On top of that, someone has actually posted a petition on change.org to add Ether to Amazon as a payment method.
by StealthEX
Long story short, that was a waste of time. High hopes fell flat, and people lost religion. But not all. As the common wisdom goes, when hope dies, action begins. This exposition describes one such effort which tries to bring to fruition the idea of a decentralized marketplace for trading goods and services. And as you might have already figured it out, with a cryptocurrency as a means of payment. So let’s welcome Particl Marketplace and see what it has to offer – and what Amazon has missed.

What is it, in simple words?

Particl Marketplace is an online marketplace where you can trade goods and services. Not a big deal, you may think. However, what distinguishes it from places like Amazon as well as cryptocurrency-enabled marketplaces is the decentralized nature of purchases on Particl. You can think of it as a variety of a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange (aka DEX) where trades are being conducted on-chain. But in case of Particl, it is goods and services that are being traded, not fiat or crypto, with deals on-chain as well, fully encrypted and decentralized.
Particl is a global peer-to-peer privacy-centered marketplace that uses an automated two-party escrow system. It is crypto-agnostic and designed to work with any cryptocurrency, creating a secure, highly-scalable environment supported by a privacy-focused blockchain-based platform. The team behind the project sees its mission in developing “a new decentralized, private and democratic economy” that is governed by the network of its users, with no central authority or middleman getting in the way.
In the project developers’ own words, Particl enables everyone to participate in a free, anonymous exchange of all kinds of goods, without paying any fee and regardless of geographical location. To be sure, you are already thinking about Silk Road and its dark fate, and that the government is going to crack down monumentally on Particl one day. Well, the outcome may vary as the payments on the platform are made using its own cryptocurrency PART, with its laser focus on privacy and anonymity. But more on this later.

How did it grow up?

The development of the Particl project started in early 2017 with the release of the white paper describing the team’s vision for the marketplace, which was shortly followed by a successful seed funding that brought in enough funds ($750,000) to support the development of the project for a year (it turned out sufficient to last for over two years).
These donations helped to establish the Particl Foundation, a non-profit Swiss organization with the goal of providing legal protection for the project to ensure its sustained development and compliance with government regulations. It receives 10% of all the staking rewards generated on the Particl network, making the project self-sustainable and free for most uses.
Unlike other such projects in the crypto arena, Particl has been using its own blockchain from day one, which happened to be July 17, 2017. It was specifically designed to be crypto agnostic by supporting and working with any cryptocurrency. Additionally, it supported the smart contract tech out of the box, giving users an ability to build all kinds of decentralized applications (dApps) that can be directly integrated into the Particl marketplace.
On May 31, 2018, the Particl Marketplace, the Holy Grail of the entire endeavor, was made available for alpha testing on the testnet of the project, which later split into development and stable branches. It went live with the mainnet release of the Particl Open Marketplace on August 12, 2019, which featured Particl Desktop 2.0.0, a client-side application providing user interface and built-in wallet functions.
On November 25, 2019, the Particl Desktop 2.3.0 client was released that enabled Bitcoin payments and marked the introduction of untraceable transactions. With the help of the new in-wallet exchange module, everyone can easily swap their bitcoins for the native PART coin. Moreover, the module allows seamless integration of third-party accountless exchange services right into the marketplace, with StealthEX being one of them.

How is it different from other marketplaces?

The common solution many P2P marketplaces implement to protect buyers and sellers from the other party failing to honor their end of the bargain is through third-party escrow, where the “third-party” in the majority of places and cases is the platform itself that the market participants must mutually trust. In short, it is a single point of failure. And the selling (pardon the pun) point of the entire Particl’s marketplace is its decentralized escrow, which is a thing entirely between the two parties engaged. No middlemen allowed here!
And these are not empty words. Particl implements the concept best known as Mutually Assured Destruction (aptly shortened as MAD), a military doctrine you are certainly familiar with, and probably even afraid of, that consists in a mutual destruction of two belligerent parties in an all-out nuclear holocaust. If you are curious, the idea stems from the game theory and has a lot to do with the Nash Equilibrium, of John Nash’s fame. In a nutshell, Particl removes the need for a trusted escrow agent by introducing MAD escrow smart contracts.
A MAD escrow contract allows to lock funds in a multi-signature address that can be released only if all the parties sign off on the transaction. So both the seller and the buyer lock in the contract an agreed amount for a specified period of time, with the buyer also depositing the payment for the items purchased. The escrowed funds are released when both parties confirm the fulfillment of the agreement. Should one party break the terms, the funds remain locked for good causing a mutual financial loss until both parties agree to sign off.
Another crucial aspect of Particl Marketplace is its end-to-end privacy. The problem with conventional marketplaces acting as an escrow agent is that the communication between the parties should be open to the agent for it to serve as an arbitrator. With Particl, it is no longer required, and all messages between the buyer and the seller are encrypted. Despite being public, only their recipient can decrypt them, which effectively makes messages untraceable.
This is also where the PART coin turns up quite handy. It enables three different privacy modes, and with the most secure mode, the Anon mode, PART transactions utilize the RingCT privacy protocol, which hides both the amount transferred and the identity of the parties transacting. Accordingly, every part of the entire Particl trading environment is thoroughly decentralized, and the full anonymity of market participants is maintained at all times, making the platform a completely trustless marketplace. Big Brother is no longer watching you.
Aside from that, you can stake PART and generate a source of passive income for yourself. Particl uses a custom Proof-of-Stake consensus protocol, allowing you to get a piece of the pie in the form of new coins created at each block according to the scheduled inflation process. The annual inflation rate is initially set to 5% and goes down 1 percentage point every year until it finally floors at 2% indefinitely. Moreover, these rates are a bare minimum as they assume that all PART coins have been staked. Otherwise, the income will be bigger and better as the same rewards are paid to fewer coins.
Additionally, your passive income through staking PART will be augmented by the fees generated through the everyday marketplace operations. Whether it is network fees collected via PART transactions or marketplace listing fees paid by the sellers, all of them contribute to the stakers’ rewards. At the end of the day, staking PART can turn into a profitable business once the Particl platform starts to attract more traffic. In simple words, the more popular the market gets, the more fees it generates, the more coins the stakers earn.
As PART is a standalone cryptocurrency, it can be used outside Particl Marketplace as well. So if you plan on using it for purposes other than eCommerce, it is traded on several exchanges, for example, HitBTC and Bittrex, with more exchanges to list PART in the future. There are native Particl wallets available for storing PART such as Particl Qt with Ledger support, Particl-cli, and Particl Copay Wallet, with the latter available for both the desktop and the mobile. There is also a third-party multicurrency Flare Wallet, enabling cold staking for Particl.
Running Particl is a collective effort, which means no operational costs and no company bagging profits from it. The marketplace buyers don’t pay any commissions other than tiny network confirmation fees, while the sellers are only charged a small listing fee to keep spam listings to a minimum. This creates a highly competitive environment, with the sellers making more profits and the buyers having access to cheaper goods and services as a result.

What’s in the pipeline?

The next major release of the Particl Marketplace should have been Particl Desktop 2.4.0, but it was later rebranded as Particl Desktop 3.0 to reflect its breakthrough nature. It is set for release in the second half of 2020 and will enable the addition of user-created markets and storefronts, effectively turning the Particl marketplace into a network of specialized markets.
And if you think about it, that makes perfect sense. Say, you have a social network account highly merited and full of karma that you want to sell, whatever your reasons might be. Then creating a dedicated market for trading such accounts privately and securely may look extremely appealing to you. Whether it is the right thing to do is another matter, of course.
Kidding aside, it is obviously not about selling or offering something that the society on the whole doesn’t approve of or frowns upon. If you are a freelancer, for example, a graphics designer or a translator, you would be certainly interested in the future freelancer markets – along with your potential employers. Put simply, birds of a feather should flock together.
To keep things in perspective, popular freelancer markets that exist today charge up to 10-20% of what you would get from your client if you negotiated directly. All in all, establishing communities across the marketplace seems to be the next logical step in the natural evolution and growth of the platform. In fact, it is a little surprising that the Particl team didn’t come up with this idea earlier.
Meanwhile, we wish Particl success and good luck in achieving their goals and aspirations.

Hello,
This is a very important public service announcement concerning our future well being. I found this information very interesting and should be read by everyone. Please take the time to read it over:
We are approaching a future in which they will mandate us to have an RFID microchip implanted in our body. This microchip will contain all our personal information, and we will lose much more of our privacy because of the tracking capabilities.
Did you know this microchip matches perfectly with prophecy in the Bible? Please read on!
"He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666" (Revelation 13:16-18 NKJV).
Referring to the last days, this could only be speaking of a cashless money society, which we have yet to see, but are heading towards. Otherwise we could still buy or sell without the mark among others if physical money was still currency. This mark could not be spiritual, because the word references two different physical locations. If it was spiritual, it would just say in the forehead.
We can see throughout the history of society how we are being conditioned through the process of convenience. More specifically with how we make payments. We went from physical currency to credit and debit cards containing digital currency, to these cards having a microchip in them, to now being able to place your card near a device that will read its data. As well as self check-out lines in our market places and the cryptocurrency industry making a rapid climb in such form as bitcoin. These are all stepping stones for the powers that run this world to bring about their ultimate goal, that is to place a microchip in each and every one of us.
RFID microchip implant technology is on the rise and will be the future of a one world cashless money society.
Continue reading to see how it perfectly matches up with Biblical prophecy!
From a YouTube video titled, "Warning From Man Who Designed RFID Microchip"
Here are some notes from the video:
"Carl Sanders sat in seventeen New World Order meetings with heads-of-state officials such as Henry Kissinger and Bob Gates of the C.I.A. to discuss plans on how to bring about this one-world system. The government commissioned Carl Sanders to design a microchip for identifying and controlling the peoples of the world—a microchip that could be inserted under the skin with a hypodermic needle(a quick, convenient method that would be gradually accepted by society).
Carl Sanders, with a team of engineers behind him, with U.S. grant monies supplied by tax dollars, took on this project and designed a microchip that is powered by a lithium battery, rechargeable through the temperature changes in our skin. Without the knowledge of the Bible(Brother Sanders was not a Christian at the time), these engineers spent one-and-a-half-million dollars doing research on the best and most convenient place to have the microchip inserted.
Guess what? These researchers found that the forehead and the back of the hand(the two places Revelation says the mark will go) are not just the most convenient places, but are also the only viable places for rapid, consistent temperature changes in the skin to recharge the lithium battery. The microchip is approximately seven millimeters in length, .75 millimeters in diameter, about the size of a grain of rice. It is capable of storing pages upon pages of information about you. All your general history, work history, crime record, health history, and financial data can be stored on this chip.
Brother Sanders believes that this microchip, which he regretfully helped design, is the “mark” spoken about in Revelation 13:16–18. The original Greek word for “mark” is “charagma,” which means a “scratch or etching.” It is also interesting to note that the number 666 is actually a word in the original Greek. The word is “chi xi stigma,” with the last part, “stigma,” also meaning “to stick or prick.”"
Mr. Sanders asked a doctor what would happen if the lithium contained within the RFID microchip leaked into the body. The doctor replied by saying a terrible sore would appear in that spot. This is what the book of Revelation says: "And the first(Angel) went, and poured out his vial on the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore on the men which had the mark of the beast, and on them which worshipped his image" (Revelation 16:2).
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE BEAST, THE NUMBER OF ITS NAME? THE MYSTERY OF THE NUMBER 666 REVEALED?
What I first want to mention, before I share my thoughts on the number of the beast, is that God confirms in threes. We can see this throughout scripture: "For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one" (1 John 5:7 NKJV). "and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:4 NKJV). "...Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!" (Revelation 4:8 NKJV). There are many more examples, but I thought I would just share three of them to make the point.
Examining Revelation 13:16-18, the first group of three I would like to point out is that the mark of the beast is described in three separate verses, 16, 17 and 18. The next three I see is in verse 16, "He causes all..." is followed by three contrasting categories of people, "both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave...". Then unto verse 17, it opens with, "and that no one may buy or sell except one who has...", followed by three explanations of what one must have to buy or sell, "...the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name". Then in verse 18, we read "Let him who has understanding calculate...", which is followed by, "the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666". The last three I see is the number 6 being used three times in a row. The reason I'm making this point is because of the number 666, as you will read below.
"17: even that not any could buy or sell, except the one having the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of its name" (Literal Greek Translation).
Here we see the mark being identified as having the name of the beast, and that name being identified as being a number. We can know that these attributes being described in verse 17 are all in one thing because the Bible warns of us about receiving the mark, singular. It is clear in verse 17 that we cannot buy or sell without the mark(being previously identified as a microchip), but why cant we buy or sell without the name of the beast, or the number of its name? What does that have to do with us buying or selling if the number of the beast only applies to identifying the Antichrist, as the common thought has been? So we need the number of the beast to buy or sell. What does this mean?
"here the wisdom is, the one having the mind let him calculate the number of the wild beast, number for of human it is, and the number of it 666" (Revelation 13:8 Greek Translation).
"Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for the number of man; and its number is six hundred sixty-six" (Jubilee Bible 2000 translation).
"In this situation wisdom is needed. Let the person who has insight figure out the number of the beast, because it is a human number. The beast's number is 666" (GOD'S WORD translation).
The Greek word "anthrōpos" being used in verse 18 where it says "of human" is the Greek strongs concordance G444. The first two definitions of the word are "a human being, whether male or female", and, "generically, to include all human individuals". Could the number of the beast apply to all mankind? In the Greek, and other translations, you will notice the beast is described as an "it", instead of "him". The reason I'm making this point is because when a translation says "His number is 666", this would imply a singular person, the Antichrist. But by saying "the number of it 666", implies that it is of the beast system as a whole.
Throughout the years there have been people trying to calculate numbers based on titles and names that come up to the number 666 to identify one person. But from verse 18, I do not see where God is telling us to count up to 666, but rather to count the number of the beast. This number is identified as 666. So the verse is telling us to count the number 666.
What does it mean to count? It means to add up. So how could we add up 666? Remember my previous point about God confirming in threes. So logically, what would be the best way to count the number 666? To count it equally in threes based off the number. We cannot count it equally as 600+60+6, this would also bring us back to the start. We cannot count it as 600+600+600, or 60+60+60, because there are no zeroes in between or at the end of 666. The only option is 6+6+6=18. What is interesting is that the verse that reveals for us to count the number itself is verse 18, being the third verse out of three verses that describe the mark of the beast. What is 18 divided by 3? 6. So 3x6=18, or 6+6+6=18.
Another interesting point is the only two other combinations(making a total of three possible combinations) for placing a "+" symbol in between the 6's are 66+6=72, and 6+66=72. Adding 7+2 and 7+2 equals 18. Add both 72's together and you get 144. Why the number 144 is interesting is because the verse following Revelation 13:18 is the first time in the Bible where the 144,000 are being described in detail: "Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads..." (Revelation 14:1).
Now if you add up all three numbers by counting 666 by moving the "+" symbol around, it would be 72+72+18=162. What is interesting about the number 162, is, if you divide 144,000 by 162, you get 888. The name of Jesus in Greek gematria adds up to 888. Revelation 14:1 not only mentions the 144,000, but also the Lamb who is Jesus.
Applying the same format that I used with calculating the number 666, in which I got the numbers 144 and 162, they also bring interesting results bringing us to the number 18:
• 14+4=18*
• 16+2=18*
• 1+4+4=(9), 1+6+2=(9), (9+9)=18*
• 1+44=(45), 1+62=(63), (4+5)=9, (6+3)=9, 9+9=18* | (45+63)=108, 10+8=18*
• 14+4=(18), 1+44=(45), (1+8)=9, (4+5)=9, 9+9=18* | (18+45)=[63] | 16+2=(18), 1+62=(63), (1+8)=9, (6+3)=9, 9+9=18* | (18+63)=[81] | [6+3]=9, [8+1]=9, 9+9=18* | [63+81]=144
• 1+4+4=(9), 14+4=(18), 1+44=(45), (9+18+45)=[72] (any two combinations of (9, 18, 45, and 72 will add to 18) | 1+6+2=(9), 16+2=(18), 1+62=(63), 9+18+63=[90] (any two combinations of (9, 18, 63, and 90 will get you 18*) | [7+2]=9, [9+0]=9, 9+9=18 | [72+90]=162
Now what is interesting about the number for Jesus, 888, is that if you apply this same formula, you get 8+8+8=24. Why the number 24? Revelation chapter 4 tells us there are 24 elders seated around the throne of God. This is the same throne where Jesus sits.
Now if you take 8+8+8=24, and 8+88=96, and 88+8=96, you get 24+96+96=216. Take 144,000 divided by 216 and you get 666. Remember that this was the same exact formula to get the number 162 out of counting 666 that brought about the number 888 when dividing 144,000 by 162. It is perpetual.
With using the same formula of counting by adding the "+" symbol in between the numbers, why do all these numbers relate in such a way?
Another interesting point to note is that if you add up all the numbers from 1 to 36, it totals 666. The number 36, as in three sixes? Could this be a hint that we should add up three sixes instead of perceiving the number as six-hundred sixty six?
So what could this mean? Well we know in this world we are identified by numbers in various forms. From our birth certificate to social security, as well as our drivers license, being identified based on a system of rulership. So it is possible that this RFID microchip will contain a new identification that has a total of 18 characters. Could this be the name of the beast, the number of its name? The beast system that is identified by 18 characters? This would fit scripture that speaks of a mark that we must have to buy or sell in our right hand or forehead, and that it also contains the number of the beast, during a future cashless money society.
Revelation 13:11-15 tells us that a false prophet will rise up deceiving many to take the mark of the beast because of the miracles he does before men. At all costs do not take it!
"Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name" (Revelation 14:9-11).
Did you hear about the lady from a major media outlet who reported a major event occurring approximately 20 minutes before it actually happened?
It's time we know the truth.
A reporter from BBC reported the collapse of World Trade Center 7 on September 11th 2001 approximately 20 minutes before it actually fell!
Remember, WTC 7 did not get hit by anything, so there would be no reason to assume it would collapse. But she didn't report on assumption, but that it already did collapse!
What could this mean? The only logical explanation is that the power that orchestrated 9/11 is the same power that controls the major media outlets!
Don't believe me? Watch the broadcast yourself uploaded on YouTube titled: "BBC Reports 911, WTC 7 Collapse BEFORE it Happens"
It gets even worse...
Did you know there is other footage they don't want us to see twice? I'm speaking of footage on the day of September 11th 2001 during the time the planes hit both Trade Towers. Eye witness reports say the following concerning the planes:
• "No, it wasn't a commercial airliner" • "...but it didn't have any markings on it that I saw" • "no emblems, no logos" • "It definitely did not look like a commercial plane" • "I did not see any windows on the sides" • "It was a black plane, it looked like a fighter jet" • "It was black, it looks like a military plane" • "It was a military plane"
This video also shares testimonies from firefighters who share their experience being in the world trade towers as bombs were exploding(to weaken the structure of the buildings to cause the free fall collapse).
As a terrorist, how could you smuggle bombs into the trade towers with all of its security systems which includes bomb sniffing dogs? Also, if terrorists did plant the bombs, then why weren't we told about the bombs?!
You can watch a video of this on YouTube by titled: "9/11 - THE FOOTAGE THEY DIDN'T LET YOU SEE TWICE (9/11 2001 Documentary)"
What about the attack on the Pentagon? Was it really a plane that hit it, or something else, maybe a missle?
Why did the FBI go around and confiscate camera footage from the surrounding buildings not releasing them to the public when they clearly showed us the planes that hit the world trade towers?
Why was the only footage released to the public from one of the most heavily guarded buildings in the world low quality footage showing only five frames at about one frame per second?
The U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld admitted the day before the attack that the Pentagon was missing 2.3 trillion dollars. Could this attack on the Pentagon have anything to do with covering up that information?
So where am I going with all of this? What's the purpose of this major event that occurred on September 11th 2001? Why did we go to war with Afghanistan and Iraq?
David Rockefeller is quoted to be saying:
"Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure--one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.” ― David Rockefeller, Memoirs
Another video to watch is an infamous interview done with movie producer Aaron Russo titled, "Aaron Russo RFID Human Implant Chip"
Aaron Russo produced such movies as Mad as Hell, Trading Places, and America: Freedom to Fascism. He gained the attention of a man named Nick Rockefeller who saw the movie Made as Hell and knew Aaron was running for governor of Nevada. Knowing the impact Aaron was having on society, who being a freedom fighter standing for the constitution of the United States, Nick sought to befriend him to subtly recruit him into his secret society.
Aaron shares what Nick had told him:
"He's the one who told me 11 months before 9/11 ever happened that there was going to be an event. He never told me what the event was going to be...and out of that event we were going to invade Afghanistan to run pipelines from the Caspian Sea. We are going to invade Iraq to take over the oil fields to establish a base in the middle east, and make it all part of the New World Order..."
"I remember he was telling me how he was going to see soldiers looking in caves for people in Afghanistan and Pakistan and all these places. And there was going to be this war on terror, where this is no real enemy, and the whole thing is a giant hoax. But it is a way for the government to take over the American people..."
Aaron asked Nick, "What's the end goal? And he said the end goal is to get everyone chipped to control the whole society. To have the bankers, the elite people controlling the world..."

"EITHER HUMAN INTELLIGENCE ULTIMATELY OWES ITS ORIGIN TO MINDLESS MATTER OR THERE IS A CREATOR..." - JOHN LENNOX
"We all know God exists. Why? Because without Him, we couldn't prove anything at all. Do we live our lives as if we cannot know anything? No. So why is God necessary? In order to know anything for certain, you would have to know everything, or have revelation from somebody who does. Who is capable of knowing everything? God. So to know anything, you would have to be God, or know God."
It has been calculated by Roger Penrose that the odds of the initial conditions for the big bang to produce the universe that we see to be a number so big that we could put a zero on every particle in the universe, and even that would not be enough to use every zero. What are the odds that God created the universe? Odds are no such thing. Who of you would gamble your life on one coin flip?
Earth resides in the darkest location within our galaxy and our galaxy within the darkest location in our universe making intelligent life possible. This allows us to observe all of the universe, from the cosmic beginning, all the way through. We are able to confirm that the Bible got it right from the start by saying, "In the beginning God created the heaven and earth..." (Genesis 1:1), and says our universe is expanding thousands of years before we discovered these things. In fact, the Bible makes 10 times more creation claims than all other major "holy" books combined with no contradictions, while these other books have errors in them. Astronomer(PhD) Hugh Ross, a best selling author, has lead many scientists to faith in Jesus showing how the book of nature and the Bible are allies rather than enemies.
1959, in Turkey was found a man-made ship buried and preserved underneath volcanic ash at the elevation of 6,500 feet. The Bible says Noah's Ark rested on the Mountains of Ararat after the flood waters receded. Not only was this ship found on the Mountains of Ararat, it is also the exact same length God told Noah to build the Ark; that is, 515 feet and 7 inches. Ron Wyatt, along with a team of scientists, lead the research of this artifact.
Thousands of archaeological discoveries throughout the years have confirmed the Bible to be true. From major events such as artifacts found across the bottom of the Red Sea confirming the Exodus account, to 98% pure sulfur balls rained down on the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, unlike any sulfur found on the earth; to further findings confirming the history of people, places and other events that occurred in the Bible. If the miracles in the Bible seem too farfetched, remember, the greatest miracle has already occured, the creation of the universe. Without God, miracles are absurd, "...but with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).
Jesus fulfilled more than 300 Messianic prophecies concerning His birth place, details of His life, His mission, His nature, His death, and His resurrection. He came to pay a debt that we could not, to be our legal justifier to reconcile us back to a Holy God; only if we are willing to receive Him: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten son, so that whoever believes in Him, through faith, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus says if we wish to enter into life to keep the commands! The two greatest commands are to love God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind; and your neighbor as yourself. All the law hang on these commands. We must be born of and lead by the Holy Spirit, to be called children of God, to inherit the kingdom. If we are willing to humble ourselves in prayer to Jesus, to confess and forsake our sins, He is willing to give the Holy Spirit to those who keep asking of Him; giving us a new heart, leading us into all truth!
Jesus came to free us from the bondage of sin. The everlasting fire was prepared for the devil and his angels due to disobedience to God's law. If we do the same, what makes us any different than the devil? Jesus says unless we repent, we shall perish. We must walk in the Spirit, producing fruits of love and forgiveness, so we may not fulfill the lusts of the flesh being hatred, fornication, drunkenness and the like. Whoever practices such things will not inherit the kingdom (Galatians 5:16-26). If we sin, we may come before Jesus to ask for forgiveness (1 John 2:1-2). Evil thoughts are not sins, but rather temptations. It is not until these thoughts conceive and give birth by our hearts desire that they become sin (James 1:12-15). When we sin, we become in the likeness of the devil's image, for he who sins is of the devil (1 John 3:8); but if we obey Jesus, in the image of God. For without holiness, we shall not see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
The oldest religion in the world is holiness (James 1:27). What religion did Adam and Eve follow before the fall? Jesus, Who became the last Adam, what religion does He follow? Is He not holy? He never told us to follow any man made religion, but to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him (Luke 9:23). There are many false doctrines being taught leading people astray. This is why we need the Holy Spirit for discernment. Unlike religion, holiness cannot be created. It is the eternal Spirit of God given to us from above. Jesus is more than a religion; He is about having a personal relationship with the Father. Start by reading the Gospel of Matthew, to hear the words of God, to know His character and commandments. Follow and obey Jesus, for He is the way, the truth, and the life! (John 14:6)

According to Analyst Ethereum could face a short crash

Bitcoin's little brother Ethereum has been surprisingly stable in recent weeks. In the opinion of a crypto expert, however, this could soon be over.
Since the price slump in March caused by the corona panic, Ethereum has so far recovered well.
Although the cryptocurrency is still far from the 52-week high that it reached in July 2019, the cyber device is still on the up.
In the past few weeks, internet money has shown surprisingly little volatility and only fluctuated within very narrow ranges.

Chart technique indicates Ethereum price decline

However, crypto expert Edward Morra recently warned on Twitter that the sideways movement could soon be over.
Morra uses an Ethereum chart to explain this, which he believes shows the formation of a "Chuvashov fork". According to him, the Ethereum price could drop to around $ 175 if this fork broke and the Ethereum price fell below the $ 220 mark.
That would correspond to a slump of around 30 percent compared to the current price. For this reason, the Ethereum expert advises put options to minimize the risk. This is also recommended as these are currently very cheap.

Active Ethereum wallets at two-year high

But even if the Ethereum course could go downhill in the short term, the acceptance of cyberdevise seems to continue to increase.
As data from the blockchain analysis portal Glassnode, which are available from BTC Echo, show, the number of active Etherum wallets has only recently reached its highest level in two years.
It is also interesting to see that the number of active Ethereum addresses correlates less and less with the price of an Ethereum.
Glassnode data show that the number of active wallets has increased significantly since the beginning of the year, whereas the Ethereum price remained within narrow ranges.

More scalability is urgently needed

However, as BTC Echo points out, the upcoming Hard Fork Ethereum from the proof-of-work process to the proof-of-stake process could prove to be vital for the cyber device.
This is the only way to achieve the necessary scalability that would help Ethereum to remain relevant to the "decentralized financial system" (DeFi).
After all, there are already other cryptocurrencies that would rely on a mechanism without a miner from the start and would already be efficient enough to be used on the DeFi platform.
Cardano is a prime example of such a cyber device. Cardano has only recently seen a rapid upturn and is currently in seventh place in terms of market capitalization among e-currencies.
The future of Ethereum also depends on the extent to which the cryptocurrency continues to develop in order to keep up with the progress in the crypto market.

Life is so complicated, could really use some help.

TL;DR at the end. 24, M.
When I was in my first year of college, one of my 'friends' started spreading lies about me. Let's call him Edward. He was a part of a group of toxic friends that I had up until a few years ago. I believe some of them held a bit of a grudge against me for checking out their 'girlfriends' profiles on Facebook (Edward got my password in first year of college). The thing is they weren't in serious relationships, I didn't even know they were dating. Also, Edward was the person who was most upset by this. I only realised recently how insecure of a person he is.
Second year of college was going well for me academically, and this upset Edward even more. That's when the lies got downright brutal. One of my other friends Troy told me a 'rumour' about someone who was a good friend of his but I didn't know as well. Let's call him Jim. Troy said that Jim was raped at a house party that had happened almost a year ago at my friend's house. Troy was smiling the entire time he told me. Smiling. That his friend was raped. Wtf. I knew this had to be another one of Edwards schemes. They must have been going around saying that I raped Jim. It was so retarded I was sure nobody would believe it, but it wouldn't stop people from talking. The friend of mine who had the house party was a part of a group of college friends that I had made in first year so I presume this lie was to start to disrupt my social life outside of this toxic group of friends. I saw all of these antics as really insecure and petty to be honest. Since I'm not a gossip, I had no clue how much all of this was going to interfere in my life.
Right when second semester of second year had rolled around, the toxic friends introduced me to some new people. We'll call them the 'townies'. These guys were rough. They had dozens of criminal offences they were being charged for between them and they were starting to hang around at my friend Ryan's house (the one who threw the party). There is a ‘party week’ in my college where everybody goes crazy and takes drugs all week. During this week, A LOT of comments were made around me that made me understand how badly all of these lies were affecting my life. I understood that week that these ‘townies’ were hired to bring harm to me. One of them in particular was in a lot of debt, and so I put two and two together; he needed money from my toxic friends to keep his kneecaps.
I finally had enough of the situation and tried to get out of my friend's house towards the end of the week, they wouldn't let me go anywhere alone. I had to text my brother and tell him to come down to the house so that we could go to the ATM for him to lend me some money. My brother walks into the house with the money and I hear someone say "oh shit we can't that's his brother". At that point I didn't care if he had the money there, I just walked towards the door telling my brother "let's go", acting as if I needed more (I hadn’t asked for much anyway).
We get back to my brother's house and I tell him about all of the retards that had been spreading lies about me, for what I now understand, was since my first year of college. He neglected the fact that they had spiked me, instead he asked me; “If there was one lie that you felt they were using against you what would it be?” I tell him the lie that Troy told me about Jim. He immediately goes downstairs and starts talking to his roommate. My brother was being weird at this point, but I figured he just wanted to let his roommate know what was up. When he got back upstairs, he kept going on about mental disorders saying that he had issues with them in the past, that he had studied them. I try not to think negatively about people with mental disorders, but knowing that was not what I was going through, I was pretty furious. The last thing I needed was for people to go around saying that I was crazy. Since my brother didn't listen I decided to keep my friends close and my enemies closer and kept hanging around at Ryan's house.
(Excuse the digression, the following narration is only necessary because the people in my life are so shitty that the context will get confusing otherwise):
Since then my brother continued to ignore the lying dickheads, started gossiping about the lies to his friends, stole my idea to invest my mother's 250,000 euro settlement in Bitcoin (don't know exactly when but somewhere between 2016-17) realized he is the cuntiest of brothers for doing so, and continued to push the whole mental disorder thing. He even shouted at me on mother's day of all days "stop talking about Bitcoin recklessnowleopard" (which at the time was the best investment opportunity going). Things only got worse.
In late July 2017, my brother and I were walking drunk along the river in my hometown when he said he wanted to stop and look at it. The river is notoriously dangerous, and he knew the scumbags that were hanging around at Ryan’s house had made references to throwing people in there while they were around me. He said: "She looks awful powerful tonight".
"Sure does", I replied.
"Not many people who go in there come out you know", he said next.
I was shocked. How the fuck could he say that? Especially when there was a 200% increase in 'suicides' via the river right around the time that all of these criminals were talking about throwing people in. He didn't just disrespect them, he showed me that he didn't care at all about my mental health. Then he said: "There's plenty of them in Utrecht". Cunt. That's where I was going on a study abroad semester. Now he was really fucking with my head.
After this I didn't want to have anything to do with my brother, but my mother would not listen to anything I was telling her. I had proved many times that he was acting crazy, lying to me and her, involving his friends in his lies, putting my life at risk. Nothing was right. I started seeing a psychologist (which was going very well) and while we were having a group session with my Mom, I mentioned the price of Bitcoin, that it was now 4000 euro. My mom's jaw dropped. This is when I realized that my Mom went through the same sequence as my brother. She started to gossip and then couldn't admit to being a shit mother, and my investment idea made a shit-ton of money, and they freaked out. Mom said in that meeting that she was “never, ever going to come back for another one”, and now wanted me to go to a mental health unit, or psych-ward, for "at least three months". What a bitch. She got her wish in the end after lying to my GP.
The psychiatrists did absolutely nothing but keep me there for three weeks which ruined my first semester back at college. Then my brother hired a bunch of hackers to ruin my semester abroad in the Netherlands. I was forced to drop out of college in the Netherlands and find work. I once again went the 'keep your friends close and enemies closer' route and somewhat befriended the hackers (one of them also owed me money). It didn't work out quite as well this time around since they were able to ruin two jobs that I enjoyed, but I needed something that would help get me out of this situation for good. In the end, I was drugged with crack, or some form of amphetamines, and ended up in a canal. This happened on my brother's fucking birthday (almost a year to the day from when he said “there’s plenty of them in Utrecht”. I can't recall exactly how I ended up in the canal, but I remember thinking that my roommate from where I was living in the Netherlands was in the canal and needed help. Whatever I was drugged with made things hazy though. I regained my senses in a hospital bed surrounded by doctor's, nurses, policemen, all speaking Dutch and freaking me the fuck out. I eventually calmed down and the world started to make sense again.
The next day they wanted a 24 hour urine sample and gave me a catheter. Fuck catheters. I stayed one more day and then I really wanted to leave. I noticed that they had my name down wrong on my wrist band so I decided to just gather my things and walk out of there. The Dutch doctor's looked at me as if to say 'where in the fuck do you think you're going as I was striding down the corridor. "That's not how you spell my last name and so technically I have not been admitted properly here. I'm leaving". The Dutch usually finding it difficult to disagree with anything rational, they let me walk on.
I strode nervously passed the security guards on the bottom floor who flew past me smiling on electric scooters (Dutch people), and walked out into the open area of the city called the ‘Uitof’. It was around a fifteen minutes cycle back to the city centre, (the Uitof is a strangely built up section of the city I was staying in that is somewhat detached from the rest). I was dreading what was bound to be around a forty minute walk, possibly more, when I saw an old tattered bike that was left unlocked. In the Netherlands, these bikes are actually okay to take. I hopped on it and started making my way back to the city centre. It broke about half way. Just my luck.
I eventually got back to the hostel that I was staying at when I first moved to the Netherlands and the receptionist was nice enough to let me stay there a while. I was beginning to make a plan to sort out my life. I still had enough money to get back to my home country. I was not about to do that before getting a prostitute though, since the lies that had been told about me for what was at that time 3-4 years had stopped me from losing my virginity. Then my family showed up and got me admitted to another mental health unit. I spent three weeks in that mental health unit, and was only allowed to go home under the conditions that my psychiatrist back home, who had been contacted by the mental health unit in Utrecht, contacted me when I arrived back.
When I got back home my psychiatrist from my home country refused to meet with me or even get on the phone with me. The social worker of the mental health unit in my hometown contacted me continuously though. He had an uncertainty in his voice every time I got on the phone with him. He said that since I had been unadmitted from the mental health unit in the Netherlands, I was not a being treated under the mental health act in my home country. Why were they calling me then?
I tried to get back to college to finish my final year but I did not want to live at home with my mother who was the one who allowed my brother to steal my idea to invest. My brother and mother are both massive gossips, most in my country are, and so by this time it was obvious to me my brother used the lie that Troy had told me to go around and lie about his little brother for his toxic friends so that nobody would know that I went to him for help and he fucked up. Cunt. I thought maybe they were just waiting till I finished college to tell me they invested, and that it was my friends who organised the attempted murder. All of this stress led to an argument with my Mom which led to me being admitted to the mental health unit again.
I eventually got back to college and am currently receiving great marks. Second semester has just started and I am doing okay but things are a bit stressful. I received a message from one of the people that I met in the Netherlands saying that they were sorry if they brought me any harm. They are so far the only person out of all the dickheads that have tried to lie me to death to apologise, so I accepted knowing they were lied to and didn't start the lies so it's not as bad. I responded saying that I know the people who are really at fault and it's enough to hate them. Then they said that the receptionist at the hostel (that my brother booked) is one of the people I should hate. That I didn’t expect. She was a nice woman, but this made my rethink how suggestable, susceptible; vulnerable that people are.
I took my time with this information but eventually I went to the college councillors with it. They wouldn't record the evidence. WTF. Then I went to the police liaison at my college with the evidence. She started to bullshit about how it wasn't clear to her what link there was to my brother. I told her again that he booked the hostel, and that the message clearly shows that the receptionist was part of a group of people who brought harm to me (drugs + canal), and that this mysteriously happened on his birthday, almost exactly a year after he essentially threatened me or at least "predicted" that I would end up in a canal in Utrecht. The liaison is in denial, even about the spike in 'suicides' in 2016. She argued about the yearly figures and then back tracked when I brought up Q1 2016. There is no doubt she and the counsellor at the college both took bribes. She also called my other (half) siblings, who also followed the path of cunt, and were now committed to sharing stealing my idea.
The liaison eventually told me she would contact Interpol because since I was drugged in the Netherlands it wasn't for her to deal with. That would have been ‘fair enough’, had she not set up what was essentially an ambush. They were trying to admit me to the hospital again. The liaison is a former psychiatric nurse. Go figure. This time however, I knew my rights well enough and they only got me in to see a psychiatrist who had to let me go even though he tried desperately to admit me.
By now my whole greedy cunting family is acting like my toxic friends, and the situation is at a point where it has reached an exponential point of anxiety and pressure; I don’t really feel it seeing as it is so bad already that any new anxiety or pressure is comparatively nothing. It is only a matter of time before they are fucked. My other brother even said in the meeting with the liaison that "plenty of people have their ideas stolen". It was as good as an admission of guilt if only the cunt of a police woman didn't take a fucking bribe.
Now my original psychiatrist is asking if I have "spoken to any other agencies". She has tried to admit me again and said that she will "organize an involuntary admission" which is illegal. She is shitting bricks since she got the situation wrong and I think now is the best time for me to finally get out of this shitty situation but everyone I go to for help is taking bribes (I'd assume the hackers have something to do with that). What would you guys do?
Tl;dr: Toxic friends lie about me, brother starts gossiping about the lies. Then brother steals my idea to invest 250,000 euro in Bitcoin and tries to have me killed on his birthday by drugging me with crack and hoping that I would drown in a canal after 'predicting' it a year before. Now he is using the money from my idea to bribe everyone I go to for help.

Mitch McConnell's Brother-in-Law One of the Masterminds of Trump-Russia

Jim Breyer, Mitch McConnell's brother-in-law, Facilitates Russia’s Takeover of Facebook through Yuri Milner
In 2005 Jim Breyer, a partner at Accel Partners, invested $1 million of his own money into Facebook and gained a seat on the board (1).
In Feb 2009 Jim Breyer visited Russia with a number of other Silicone Valley investors. While there, Yuri Milner, a Russian tech entrepreneur who founded DST with close ties to the Kremlin, hosted a dinner to cap the entire event (2). As one Moscow source put it:
DST has the backing of the big boys at the top in the Kremlin, which is why it will go from strength to strength (5)
Milner found out Breyer liked Impressionist art and took him to Russian’s Hermitage Museum to view Matisse paintings otherwise closed off to the public. Three months later Yuri Milner’s DST invested into Facebook at a bloated value. (2)
Mr Milner dismissed suggestions that at a valuation of $10bn he overpaid for his stake in Facebook, especially given that the social networking site has yet to prove it has turned to profit. (3)
it’s seen as a desperate and rather vulgar deal on the one hand—Milner buying a small stake in Facebook, valuing the entire company at $10 billion—and, on the other, Facebook debasing itself by taking Russian money. Russian money! In fact, it seems rather like a desperate deal for both parties (in the midst of the banking crisis, Facebook has only two other bidders for this round—and none from the top VC tier) (4)
By the end of 2009, DST would own 10% of Facebook. Later revealed by the Paradise Papers, DST’s investments into Facebook were financed by the Russian government through state-owned Gazprom. That’s right, in 2009 Russia owned 10% of Facebook. (6)
Soon after, the two continued to work together on other investments. Breyer introduced Milner to Groupon, and Milner helped Breyer’s Accel invest into Spotify (7). In 2010 an Accel representative joined a gaggle of Silicon Valley investors to Russia and signed a letter promising to invest into the country (8).

Jim Breyer and Rupert Murdoch
Then in Nov 2010 Jim Breyer invested into Artsy.net, run by Rupert Murdoch’s then-wife, Wendi Deng, and Russia oligarch Roman Abramovich’s then-wife, Dasha Zhukova. Jared Kushner’s brother, Josh, also invested in the fledgling company (1).
At the time Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation had a joint venture with the Russian mob-linked oligarch Boris Berezovsky, called LogoVaz News Corporation, that invested in Russian media (4). It was Berezovsky’s protege close to Putin, Roman Abramovich, who tied Berezovsky to the mob.
According to the Mirror Online, Abramovich paid Berezovsky tens, and even hundreds, of millions every year for "krysha", or mafia protection. (5)
In June 2011, Rupert Murdoch ended his foray into social media by selling Myspace to Justin Timberlake (2) and elected Jim Breyer to the board of News Corp (3).

Jim Breyer invests in Wickr with Erik Prince
In 2012 Breyer invested in a encrypted messenger app, Wickr. Other investors include Gilman Louie and Erik Prince. To understand the connection, we need to go back to 1987. Breyer, newly hired to Accel Partners, made his first investment with Louie’s video game company that owned the rights to the Soviet Union’s first video game export, Tetris (1).
Louie went off to become the founding CEO of the CIA-backed In-Q-Tel which invested in Palantir. Palantir’s founder, Peter Thiel, sat on the board of Facebook with Breyer (2)(3). On the board of In-Q-Tel is Buzzy Krongard (7), the man who helped Erik Prince’s Blackwater receive their first CIA contract, who also joined the board of Blackwater in 2007 (6).
Around that same time, 2012-2013, Prince met Vincent Tchenguiz, founder of Cambridge Analytica's parent company, SCL (8), and was introduced to Cyrus Behbehani of Glencore, one of the purchasers of Rosneft stock detailed in the Steele Dossier (9). Cyrus Behbehani sat on the board of RusAl with Christophe Charlier, who is also Chairman of the board at Renaissance Capital (10), an early investor of DST (11).

Jim Breyer and Yuri Milner invest in Prismatic
That same year, 2012, Jim Breyer invested in Prismatic, a news aggregate app, with Yuri Milner.
Prismatic’s technology works by crawling Facebook, Twitter and the web (“anything with a URL”) to find news stories. It then uses machine learning to categorize them by Topic and Publication. Prismatic users follow these Topics and Publications, as well as Individuals and the algorithm then uses these preferences and user-activity signals to present a relevant Newsfeed. (1)
Sounds like the beginning of what could be a propaganda dissemination tool. That goes in-line with Yuri Milner’s vision of Social Media. Milner’s theory:
“Zuckerberg’s Law”: Every 12 to 18 months the amount of information being shared between people on the web doubles... Over time people will bypass more general websites such as Google in favor of sites built atop social networks where they can rely on friends’ opinions to figure out where to get the best fall handbag, how to change a smoke detector, or whether to vacation in Istanbul or Rome. “You will pick your network, and the network will filter everything for you,” Milner explained. (2)
So how does Milner intend to utilize the data gathered through social media? Let’s see what Milner did to Russia’s top social media site, VK:
In January 2014, Durov sold his 12 percent stake to Ivan Tavrin, the CEO of major Russian mobile operator Megafon, whose second-largest shareholder is Alisher Usmanov, one of Russia’s most powerful oligarchs, a man who has long been lobbying to take over VK.
Then, in April 2014, Durov stated he had sold his stake in the company and became a citizen of St Kitts and Nevis back in February after "coming under increasing pressure" from the Russian Federal Security Service to hand over personal details of users who were members of a VK group dedicated to the Euromaidan protest movement in Ukraine. (3)
The Euromaidan protest ousted the Russian-backed president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, whom Paul Manafort had worked to install. (4)

Facebook talks US Elections with Russia
In Oct 2012 Zuckerberg traveled to Moscow and met Dmitry Medvedev where they had a very interesting conversation:
Mr. Zuckerberg and Mr. Medvedev talked about Facebook’s role in politics, though only jokingly in reference to its importance in the American presidential campaign, according to Mr. Medvedev’s press office. (1)
While there he also visited Victor Vekselberg's Skolkovo, who’s currently under investigation by Mueller for donations to Trump (2).
As Obama’s effort to reboot diplomatic relations [with Russia] sputtered, federal officials began raising alarms about the Skolkovo Foundation’s ties to Putin.
“The foundation may be a means for the Russian government to access our nation’s sensitive or classified research, development facilities and dual-use technologies” (3)
And took time to teach Russian's how to hack Facebook friend data, the same hack used by Cambridge Analytica, Donald Trump’s campaign data firm.
In a 2012 video, Facebook's Simon Cross shows the Moscow crowd how they can "get a ton of other information" on Facebook users and their friends. "We now have an access token, so now let's make the same request again and see what happens," Cross explains (YouTube). "We've got a little bit more data, but now we can start doing really interesting stuff. We can get my friends. We can get some more information about one of my friends. Here's Connor, who you'll meet later. Say 'hello,' Connor. He's waving. And we can also get a ton of other information as well." (4)
Facebook later hired the individual who hacked Facebook and sold the data to Cambridge Analytica (5).
A month after that visit, Putin propaganda mouth-piece Konstantin Rykov, claims he began helping with Trump’s presidential aspirations (6). Days later, Trump registered “Make America Great Again” (7). The following year, Russia's Troll Factory, the Internet Research Agency, was created as was Cambridge Analytica.

Andrei Shleifer and Len Blavatnik
Len Blavatnik, a US-Russian oligarch currently under investigation by Mueller, graduated from Harvard in 1989 and quickly formed Renova-Invest with Viktor Vekselberg, another oligarch under Mueller’s investigation (7)(8). Since then Blavatnik has maintained close ties to the university.
In 1992, after the fall of the Soviet Union, Andrei Shleifer led a consortium of Harvard professors to assist Russia’s vice-president, Antaoly Chubais, with the privatization of Russia’s state-run assets. Scandal broke when it was revealed Shleifer, through Blavatnik’s company and with Blavatnik’s guidance, invested in the very companies he worked to privatize. (6)
Years later, Shleifer continued to fund loans to Blavatnik for Russian ventures through his hedge fund, managed by his wife, Nancy Zimmerman (9), and created the Russian Recovery Fund which bought $230 million of Russian debt from Julian Robertson’s Tiger Management (10), who’s seed fun, Tiger Global, later invested in Milner’s DST.
Len Blavatnik and Viktor Vekselberg are major investors in Rusal (11).
Schleifer is still a professor at Harvard.

Breyer and Harvard
On April 2013, two months after Breyer was elected to the board of Harvard (1), Len Blavatnik, donated $50 million to the school (2) and joined the Board of Dean’s Advisors (3)(4) and Harvard’s Global Advisory Council (6) alongside Breyer. The next month Breyer announced plans to step down from the board of Facebook with an intention of focusing on his latest Harvard appointment (5).
In 2016 Len Blavatnik donated over $7 million to GOP candidates, including $2.5 million to Mitch McConnell himself (7).

Jim Breyer, Blackstone Group, and Saudi Arabia
In 2011 Schwarzman was named to the board of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (2), headed by Kirill Dimitriev.
In June 2016, during Trump’s presidential campaign, Jim Breyer met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin-Salman, or MBS (8). The next month Breyer joined the board of Blackstone Group (1) alongside Stephen Schwarzman and Jacob Rothschild (3). In the past Blackstone Group had loaned Kushner Companies a combined $400 million over multiple projects (7). In the 2018 election cycle, Schwzarman donated $5 million to the pro-McConnell superPAC, Senate Majority PAC (13).
Jacob’s brother, Nat, is business partners with both Oleg Deripaska (4), Rupert Murdoch, and Dick Cheney (5). Nat is also a major investor in Glencore, one of the purchasers of Rosneft stock detailed in the Steele Dossier (6), and RusAl.
In January 2017, Breyer’s business partner at Wickr, Erik Prince, was introduced to Dimitriev by MBS’s emissary, George Nader, and the Crown Prince of the UAE (10).
On October 22, 2018, three weeks after the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, when most American investors were spooked away from Saudi Arabia, Jim Breyer showed up at an MBS-hosted Saudi business summit alongside Kirill Dimitriev of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (9). That same day, MBS pledged $20 billion for Blackstone Group's new infrastructure fund (11) to fund Elaine Chao's $1.5 trillion infrastructure plan (12). Elaine Chao, Mitch McConnells wife and Jim Breyer's sister-in-law, is Trump's Secretary of Transportation.

My life is on survival mode. What would you do?

One of my other friends George told me a 'rumour' about someone who was a good friend of his but I didn't know as well. Let's call him Jim. George said that Jim was raped at a house party that had happened almost a year ago at my friend's house. George was smiling the entire time he told me.
There is a party week in my college where everybody goes crazy and takes drugs all week. During this week, A LOT of comments were made around me that made me understand how badly all of these lies were affecting my life. I understood that week that these townies were hired to bring harm to me. One of them in particular was in a lot of debt, and so I put two and two together; he needed money from my toxic friends to keep his kneecaps.
I finally had enough of the situation and got out of my friend's house, they wouldn't let me go anywhere alone. I had to text my brother and tell him to come down to the house so that we could go to the ATM for him to lend me some money. My brother walks into the house with the money and I here someone say "oh shit we can't that's his brother". At that point I didn't care if he had the money there I just walked towards the door telling my brother "let's go", acting as if I needed more money or some shit.
We get back to my brother's house and I tell him about all of the retards that had been spreading lies about me for what I now understand was years. He neglected the fact that they had spiked me and asked me if there was one lie that I felt they were using against me what would it be. I tell him the lie that George told me about Jim. Then he goes downstairs and starts talking to his roommate. My brother was being just as retarded as my friend's were. He kept going on about mental disorders saying that he had issues with them in the past, that he had studied them. I try not to thing negatively about people with mental disorders, but knowing that was not what I was going through I was pretty furious. The last thing I needed was for people to go around saying that I was crazy. Since my brother didn't listen I decided to keep my friends close and my enemies closer and kept hanging around at Ryan's house.
Since then my brother continued to ignore the lying dickheads, started gossiping about me himself, stole my idea to invest my mother's 250,000 euro settlement in Bitcoin (don't know exactly when but somewhere between 2016-17) realized he is a shitty brother for doing so, and continued to push the whole mental disorder thing. He even shouted at me on mother's day of all days "stop talking about Bitcoin AdultMNTurtle" (which at the time was the best investment opportunity going). It actually gets worse. In late July 2017, my brother and I were walking drunk along the river in my hometown when he said he wanted to stop and look at it. The river is notoriously dangerous, and he knew the scumbags that were hanging around at Ryans house had made references to throwing people in there while they were around me. He didn't just disrespect them, he showed me that he didn't care at all about my 'mental health'. Then he said: "There's plenty of them in Utrecht". Cunt. That's where I was going on a study abroad semester. Now he was really fucking with my head.
After this I didn't want to have anything to do with my brother, but my mother would not listen to anything I was telling her. I had proved many times that he was acting crazy, lying to me and her, and even putting my life at risk. Something wasn't right. I started seeing a psychologist and while we were having a meeting with my Mom there also I mentioned the price of Bitcoin, that it was now 4000 euro. My mom's jaw dropped. This is when I realized that my Mom went through the same sequence as my brother. She started to gossip and then couldn't admit to being a shit mother and my investment idea made a shit-ton of money and they freaked out. Mom said in that meeting that she now wanted me to go to a mental health unit, or psych-ward, for "at least three months".
In the end, I was drugged with crack or some form of amphetamines and ended up in a canal. This happened on my brother's fucking birthday. I can't recall exactly how I ended up in the canal as whatever I was drugged with started to have more and more serious effects.
I strode nervously passed the security guards on the bottom floor who flew past me smiling on electric scooters (fuckin Dutch people), and walked out into the open area of the city called the Uitof. Fuck.
Fuck.
When I got back home my psychiatrist from my home country was supposed to meet with me and discuss everything that happened. She refused to even get on the phone with me. The only reason they let me leave the mental health unit in the Netherlands was because they had contacted her and arranged for her to meet with me. I tried to get back to college to finish my final year but I did not want to live at home with my mother who was the one who allowed my brother to steal my idea to invest. She and my brother are both massive gossips, most in my country are, and so my brother must have used the lie that George had told me to go around and lie about his little brother for his toxic friends so that nobody would know that I went to him for help and he fucked up. Cunt. All of this stress led to an argument with my Mom which led to me being admitted to the mental health unit again. Such bullshit.
I took my time with this information but eventually I went to the college councilors with it. They wouldn't record the evidence. WTF. Then I went to the police liason at my college with the evidence. She started to bullshit about how it wasn't clear to her what link there was to my brother. I told her again that he booked the hostel and that the message clearly shows that the receptionist was part of a group of people who brought harm to me (drugs + canal), and that this mysteriously happened on his birthday almost exactly a year after he essentially threatened me or at least "predicted" that I would end up in a canal in Utrecht. The liason is in denial, even about the spike in 'suicides' in 2016. There is no doubt she and the counsellor at the college both took bribes. The liason eventually told me she would contact Interpol because since I was drugged in the Netherlands it wasn't for her to deal with. That was fair enough but she told me this after calling two of my other siblings who arrived half an hour into my meeting with her (they live more than an hour away). It was an ambush really. They were trying to admit me to the hospital again. This time however, I knew my rights well enough and they only got me in to see a psychiatrist who had to let me go even though he tried desperately to admit me.
By now my whole greedy cunting family is acting like my toxic friends, it is so fucked up. However, it is only a matter of time before they are fucked. My other brother even said in the meeting with the liason that "plenty of people have there ideas stolen".
Then brother steals my idea to invest 250,000 euro in Bitcoin and tries to have me killed on his birthday by drugging me with crack and hoping I would drown in a canal after 'predicting' it a year before. Now he is using the money from my idea to bribe everyone I go to for help.

100 Reasons to Buy Bitcoin

  1. Bitcoin is the most censorship resistant money in the world.
  2. You don't have to buy a “whole” bitcoin so don't freak out if you look at the price. You can buy a piece of one no problem.
  3. The Dallas Mavericks accept Bitcoin on their website. You don't trust Mark Cuban. He's the best shark.
  4. Bitcoin is the best performing asset of the last decade (better than S&P500).
  5. Diversify your current portfolio.
  6. It's not illegal in the USA.
  7. You holding just one satoshi slightly limits the supply and can rise the price for everyone else.
  8. [In late 2019] hash rate is the highest it has ever been
  9. Suicide insurance; if Bitcoin rises in price there is no worse feeling than regret.
  10. Some of the smartest people in computer science and cryptography are working on it. Trust nerds.
  11. Look at the all time historical chart. No technical analysis just tell me what you think when you look at it.
  12. Money is a belief system... and I want to believe.
  13. Transparent ledger, no funny business going on it's easy to audit.
  14. Elon Musk appears to be a fan. How's that for an appeal to authority
  15. There is a fixed limit in the number of bitcoins that will exist. 21 million bitcoin, 7 billion people on earth. Do the math.
  16. There are so many examples of governments inflating their currency to the point where it becomes unusable. Read the wikipedia page for Venezuela or Zimbabwe.
  17. Altcoins make sacrifices in either security or centralization. There are altcoins out there that claim to be innovating but just check the scoreboard nothing has flipped Bitcoin in market value or even gotten close.
  18. With technology developing at a rate faster than law, governments and for-profit businesses have the ability to monitor our purchases, location, our habits, and all of this has happened without consent. People made jokes and conspiracy theory, but sometimes conspiracy is real. Most people are good, but there is absolutely evil out there. There are absolutely evil people in positions of power. There are absolutely evil people that work together in positions of power. Does anyone actually believe that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide. Go read about Leslie Wexner. Go read the cypherpunk manifesto.
  19. The upcoming halvening in 2020 will reduce the number of Bitcoin created in each block, making them more scarce, and if history repeats more valuable.
  20. Bitcoin has lower fees than traditional banking.
  21. Gold has the advantage of being a physical thing. But unlike gold you know Bitcoin is not forged, or mixed with another metal, and you can easily break it into tiny pieces and send it over the internet to someone.
  22. Bitcoin could spark new interests maybe you start to read more into economics, computer science, or Brock Pierce.
  23. Bitcoin has survived with no leader, marketing team, public relations, or legal team.
  24. Because Wired magazine said Bitcoin was dead at $2, Forbes said it was dead at $15, NY Times at $208, and CNN at $333.
  25. Just do a cost benefit analysis. What happens if Bitcoin fails and it goes to zero vs. what happens if it succeeds, and becomes world money.
  26. Bitcoin encourages long term thinking, planning, saving. Due to inflation we are punished by holding on to cash. Look up the statistics on the average savings account while we are bombarded with consumerist bullshit like Funko pop heads, Loot crate subscription services, and new syrup flavors for coffee. Currently we are encouraged to spend now, seek immediate gratification, and ignore what we are becoming as Amazon picks out our clothes and toothpaste ships it to the house and we sit and watch streaming services where content is pushed to us and I'm supposed to buy that this garbage is actually “trending”. Our lives have become so comfortable that idiots spend $60 to escape a room and have someone take your picture when you get out. What would our ancestors think.
  27. Maybe you're a day trader looking to use a trading bot in an unregulated market.
  28. Bitcoin has 7 letters in it. Lucky number 7.....

  30. It's just cool, don't you want to seem smart to all your friends.
  31. The origin story is so nuts there's going to be a movie or several movies about the early days of Bitcoin. Satoshi Nakamoto remains anonymous to this day. Imagine if the inventor of the cell phone was anonymous.
  32. If you have money to burn, don't buy soda, weed, or some girls private snapchat it's a dead end put it towards Bitcoin and give it to your child in the future.
  33. To avoid getting ripped off by foreign exchange fees just because you were born one place and your friends were born in another place.

  38. You can stick it to the vegans.
  39. You can stick it Roger Ver.
  40. Maybe your IQ is 70 and you'll do whatever CNBC Fast Money recommends.
  41. Maybe a hacker infects your computer, records you doing that thing, and threatens to release the tape if you do not pay them 1.5 Bitcoin.
  42. You're a risk taker looking for some risky investment.
  43. Aliens attack like Independence Day, blow up major cities in major countries, your money is still safe with Bitcoin. As long as there is a some guy, some person, living on an island with a copy of the ledger out there on your'e good. We're all good.
  44. Many proposals to scale the number of transactions, may the best plan win.
  45. One day you might have to use BTC to pay taxes, buy food, and charge your Tesla.
  46. You want to support a political group and remain private.
  47. You can trust math more than you can trust people to set an emission rate.
  48. Government don't know how much you have.
  49. The first response to Bitcoin being published by Hal Finney stated that Bitcoin was positioned to reach million dollar valuation. Hal was the first bull and passed away in 2014, missing a lot #doitforHal.

  51. The Big Bang Theory mentioned it, maybe you want to be like Sheldon the bazinga guy.
  52. Mid-life crisis.
  53. Be contrarian. In a world where everyone zigs it's sometimes good to zag.
  54. Don't have any hobbies, and you just need a reason to get up in the morning.
  55. Enjoy learning? Bitcoin is a topic where there is so much to learn, and so much development, that it really becomes a never ending journey. For someone who likes learning, it's more productive than speedrunning a video game.
  56. Yolo. You only live once. This isn't a dress rehearsal, if there's something your kind of interested in pursue it. That's true for anything not just Bitcoin. But if you're reading this I'm assuming you're interested.
  57. Bitcoin is not a ponzi scheme. The difference is Bitcoin does not need new people buying in to work, blocks being added will continue even if the community stopped growing.
  58. With religion on the decline maybe you want to join a cult. Crypto twitter is a great echo chamber to meet like minded people.
  59. Satoshi Nakamoto found a way to distribute a global currency in a fair way with the ability to adjust the mining difficulty as we go, it's really incredible. You still need computers and electricity to mine new bitcoin today but it's an extremely fair way for people to earn. There was no premine of Bitcoin. Everyone who has Bitcoin either bought it at what the market said, or they earned it.
  60. No CEO in charge of Bitcoin to make bad decisions or a board of directors that can make changes. The users, an ever growing number, are in charge.
  61. Bitcoin has no days off, it has no workers in charge who can get sick or take a holiday.
  62. Bitcoin has survived 10 years (and more). While there will always be dangers, I'd argue that those first few years it was most vulnerable to fail.
  63. Have some trust in the cypherpunks. Anyone who held and didn't sell bitcoin as it went from pennies to five figures is not looking to get rich. They want to change the world.
  64. Potential president Tulsi Gabbard disclosed owning some.
  65. Digital money is the future, anyone who has tried Venmo can see that. Well Bitcoin is a digitally native asset.
  66. Refugees can use Bitcoin to store their wealth as they flee a failing country.
  67. Bitcoin is an open source project. Anthony Pompliano likes to call it a virus but I like how the author of the Bitcoin Standard describes it. Bitcoin is like a song. As long as one person remembers it you can't destroy a song.
  68. Triple entry accounting. When humans first started recording who owes who what we had single-entry accounting. The king's little brother would keep everything written down, but we had to really trust this guy because he could simply erase a line and that money would be gone. When double-entry accounting started to spread 500 years ago it brought with it massive innovation. Businesses could now form relationships across the ocean as they each kept a record. We did not have innovation again until Satoshi's Bitcoin, where blockchain can be used as the neutral third party to keep record. It might not sound important but blockchain allows us to agree upon an objective reality.
  69. Bitcoin is non-political.
  70. Bitcoin is easy to accept. I mean kind of. It's certainly easier than setting up a bank account.
  71. A sandwich used to cost 10 cents in America, I walk into Subway and they don't even have $5 foot longs anymore. Inflation man..
  72. It's a peaceful protest.
  73. Critics say that mining wastes electricity, but if Bitcoin adoption continues the world will actually be incentivized to produce more renewable energy. There are so many waterfalls and sources of energy in the middle of nowhere right now. People might not see a reason to build a power plant over there now, but in the future it can make business sense. Take that waterfall mine bitcoin, and sell them to the people who can't mine. It allows for a business to sell their energy anywhere.
  74. Get into debates around Bitcoin, build those critical thinking skills.
  75. “Predicting rain doesn't count, building arks does”
  76. “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now.”
  77. "I never considered for one second having anything to do with it. I detested it the moment it was raised. It’s just disgusting. Bitcoin is noxious poison.”
  78. The immaculate conception. No cryptocurrency can have a start the grassroots way Bitcoin did, it's just impossible given how the space has changed.
  79. There are more than 1000x more U.S. dollars today than there were a hundred years ago.
  80. Bitcoin is the largest transfer of wealth this decade from the least curious to the curious.
  81. The concept of the Star Wars Cantina, Galt's Gulch, or young Beat Generation kids sitting in a basement smoking cigarettes and questioning the world can only exist if money remains fungible.
  82. You can send money to your Dad even if he lives in a country run by bad boys.
  83. Memorize your key, and walk around the world carrying your money in your head.
  84. Free speech.
  85. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9JGmA5_unYGmA5_unY
  86. The Federal Reserve is objectively way too powerful.
  87. John Mcafe promised that if bitcoins were not valued at 1 million dollars by the end of 2020 he would eat his own penis on national television. It will be a sad day if we don't hit that 1 million.
  88. The Apple credit card.
  89. If we ever get artificial intelligence it'll be able to interact with Bitcoin.
  90. Katy Perry is aware of crypto so if by some chance you run into her, you get one chance to strike up conversation, so here's your chance to shine. You don't ask for a picture, you don't say she's pretty, or name your favorite song. Take your shot and ask about what type of cold storage she uses for her bitcoin.
  91. Many people are afraid of a world currency because it's associated with a centralized world power taking control. Bitcoin allows for neutral world money.
  92. Stick it to Mark Zuckerberg.
  93. Developers developers developers developers developer developers.
  94. About 85% of the supply has already been mined.
  95. Bitcoin can always improve. As long as the proposal is really good the code can be upgraded, and if the baddies invent ways to hurt the chain we can just fork off it's just code.
  96. Memes
  97. Name recognition and momentum above all other cryptocurrencies.
  98. 3% discount with Bitcoin at Crescent Tide Cremation Services. Nice cant wait to die.
  99. Like having a swiss bank account in your pocket.
  100. Blow up the banks (in minecraft).

Electricity : Fan Theory

First off I'll start off by saying I truly believe this show to be a case of "the plot doesn't matter", it serves rather, as an engine that fuels exploration into bigger picture stuff -- commentary on capitalism, a mirror to examine our own emotion as shown through character's reactions to events. So if I'm way off base here it doesn't matter and if i'm spot on it doesn't matter.
Nonetheless, I'm going to attempt and present what may serve as a means of "understanding" the why of the season finale.
The cosmic error we were informed of this season, twins, is also seen in computers, these technically are called soft errors, but they are sometimes caused by cosmic rays. Essentially, cosmic rays have a statistically significant chance to change a piece of data stored in memory. This change in data has the power to change the way a system runs if not checked and corrected but does not imply it has affected it or will whether or not it is caught or if that data can not be recovered.
Twins present a "cosmic error" because where one sperm enters, two babies leave. The race condition of millions of sperm trying to fertilize an egg is solved by simply allowing only one sperm to do so (most of the time, maybe it happens, idk). But that doesn't stop a random split from happening that can potentially put the mom's life at greater risk of failing to give birth by doubling the load.
Concurrency in computer programming is where two processes are able to run simultaneously. A race condition is made when those two processes enter a critical part of their execution at the same time, that is to say try to access the same piece of data from memory at the same time. Put simply, if you and friend each opened a cupboard, checked how many apples were stored, add a number of apples, each exclusively, and mark down how many should now be in the cupboard you both should know how many are in the cupboard right? Nope. If there's one in the cupboard and you add two, you've marked down that there are 3 apples in the cupboard. However, your friend has decided to put one and did it before you put yours back. Now you and your friend both don't know how many apples are in the cupboard, as he thinks there are two when both of you are wrong -- there's four. So the next time you both go back to check your data is completely unreliable and subsequent calculations will compound how incorrect you are. Even if you both end up with the correct number at the end, it's a fluke and more still missing the error. This only makes sense if you take a literal blind approach in which is you only can see what was stored once when opening it and cannot double check what was written down, you have to trust what was stored after opening as it should match what's written down. The answer in programming can't always be store it twice in memory (here memory means random access, not disk stored).
One way of solving this is through the implementation of mutual exclusion, also called a mutex. The simplest example of a mutex, both actually and in our example is putting a lock on the cupboard with a single key you must use to unlock when checking, lock while adding apples, and then give up so your friend might access the cupboard. This ensures that you both have the right data each time you check. I'm skipping over some stuff because the piece that's important is that only one can be inside at any given time.
Semaphores are another way of achieving this, but instead of using a key a system of counting is put into place. this is done by knowing how many of a given resource are available at any given time and recording it. Currency, often believed to be rooted in a gold standard, uses this system to account for inflation or whatever. Funny enough bitcoin actually IS founded on a gold standard. One that so far can not be manipulated. Alchemy presents a logical problem for this, since gold cannot be created through chemistry and thus there is a finite amount of it. Same way there is a finite amount of bitcoin that will ever enter circulation.
Today, gold is still thought of as valuable. It's brought up early on in the series by Dud that the more gold that exists the less special it is, and thus would lose its value. One of the most historically valuable properties of gold is its malleability, and prettyness which allowed for more ornate objects of beauty to be crafted without the need for advanced smelting and casting. Today that is of much less concern.
Silver, on the other hand, in today's modern age, has the advantage of being the most electrically conductive metal we know about. Second comes copper and in third is gold. Guess which one we use most often in circuitry and in wiring buildings. Conductivity is literally based on the Silver standard.
While in many ways Dud may be seen as inferior to Liz, intelligence wise, money wise -- double down on a bad interest loan by paying it off with a worse interest loan vs. paying it off slowly and painfully, etc. He is often seen to be coming out ahead in terms of sheer happiness and fortitude where Liz cannot. If one sperm in a race produced two non identical babies, neither inherently came in first from the get go. As I said above, neither metal, gold or silver, wins in terms of actual utility in the conductivity battle. However, Dud enters the lodge first, and gets struck by lightning.
Given the information we are given in the first season we are not made privy to a lot of things that become important. Primarily, that the scrolls might be the solution to cracking bitcoin and thus disrupting its backed worth based on the gold standard. So, here, the "cosmic error" of twins and the challenge it presents in this concurrent system is brought into the main stage. Liz and Dud are both on a quest but neither really knows what or why. Both survive extreme conditions they are put in both voluntarily and involuntarily respectively.
This all changes when Liz enters the Lodge. Up until this point Liz has not entered the lodge out of her own "choice", free will arguments here be damned. She doesn't go in because she doesn't care. It takes Dud not answering her texts for her to enter and when she does so the Lodge corrects for it.
If detected, a soft error may be totally recovered from, but if the system has crashed, the computer needs to be "rebooted" before any data correction can occur. If they were both in the Lodge at the same time due to a cosmic error which, in terms of my example above, changes the number of apples in the cupboard while it's locked or changes the total number of apples available. If they weren't physically in the Lodge at the same time holds no bearing, it's that they were a part of the lodge. As long as Liz is accessing the Lodge Dud cannot. While humans allegedly built the Lodge, it is impossibly complex to the point where it has literal doors it can throw you backwards out of, possibly as a way of rebirth and possibly as a way of creating a "plant". Liz just as easily could have not been kept on her feet had her friends not been there the same way Duds was from his near death experiences, however they were there.
For a door that opens out, and that no one knows how to access, it sure as shit is not protected from the obvious safety-precaution; securing it from being opened from the outside. Maybe it has been attempted but it just always fell down. But when the light next to the door is being repaired for safety reasons it's not like anyone says hey if we don't know where this door leads and idk, maybe we have some voluntarily blind girl living and running around fixing her seizure problems like, let's maybe just take care of fix this other hazard.
Brute force is used to open doors all over the place in the show, even as far as being used as a "lockpick" (axe), but is never used to unlock THAT door, at least successfully or on screen. Maybe it can't be bruteforced the same way brute force can't be used to cheat bitcoin (it can't, at least today). Quantum computing poses a very real threat to this, and actually every "lock" we think is secure. Like, won't get into it too much and it's not this simple but imagine just asking the computer what your neighbors wifi password is and it just gives you the answer without having to try an approaching infinite number of possible solutions. A very real threat to bitcoin and as a matter of fact all modern encryption, however to scare you less if we're smart enough to pull it off we're at least smart enough to solve the problem before we get there (i've been assured by our friends at google that their contingency plans can't fail, they also told me the titanic never sank)

This at least approaches an explanation to the apparent deus ex machina that is Dud's death. The Lodge is not a joke, and has real control of things. While running it exposes powerful implications into the lives of its members and those around them. I think it's clear here that the duty of the knights of the lodge, to protect it, has greater meaning than we know.

To this same affect, we see another parallel for modern networked computing to work reliably -- redundancy. One man cannot keep the Lodge alive himself, nor can dwindling numbers of protectors. So make more of them, and why not spread them out so if an entire area is affected by say 10 hurricanes at once, it doesn't take down the whole lodge and working knowledge of things. Redundancy in computing means basically the same thing, keep servers in more than one place and have the data they serve backed up and available in more than one place. This also mitigates the probability of data loss, though not entirely. As the lodge in London had no idea the scrolls were removed and the xeroxes made may have gone the way of Orbis, and potentially only one copy of until they were recovered in Mexico.

So far, my only intention has been to make parallels that may have not been made so excuse me while I hurl myself over the side of the boat and bring this to my conclusion on what to make of all this. Skip ahead 2 paragraphs to ignore it.
Simulation Theory. As the always headstrong u/L_Marvin_Metz says so poignantly says "the earth is hollow". While, maybe meant to be taken at face value, it probably isn't. But figuratively speaking, definitely. So many of life's pursuits are hollow and we often see characters in the show being punished for these impure pursuits. What else could allow for impossible tunnels, resurrection, portals and magic? A lot of things but nonetheless, Simulation theory would also give a lot for credence to all the talk about "getting out", a reason why Liz and Dud can't be in the Lodge at the same time beyond some deus ex machina. Liz needs a reason to figure out the system and for her it's finding her brother. Whether or not she can (probably can't, if he is rebooted/born again why would that be up to us). Or that's what I'm going to postulate for season 3.
Either way the scrolls are there because of reasons no one intended, and all that talk about destiny and painting the future but not getting to actually make it up begin to make sense. The lodge will fulfill its purpose because it already has. The absurdity of simulation theory requires the possibility of multiple layers of simulation, as above and so too is below, also begins to make sense in this context. This could literally go anywhere so I'm gonna stop at this point. Dud is dead, for now in a sense. However, that's if him crashing out of that door covered in dirt wasn't just him falling out in the same sequence we observer it.
There may have been for a way less complex reason than I am making - that being actor availability and the inability to pay the highly in-demand Wyatt Russell both for opportunity cost on a show with a future unknown and for his actual need to have a minimum price that the show may not be able to pay.
However limited his role is has yet to be seen, and hopefully for the sake of everything will be seen next year, but we saw him get an emmy nomination in the finale -- at least I truly believe that (specifically when he denied the knighthood). But it could be from any episode this season probably. If he takes home the gold who knows what that extra prestige will do to any budgetary restraints on AMC's wallet in the future. Clearly he likes being in this show, so I see know reason why he wouldn't return as a lead if i'm at all correct about any of this.
Point of this being that we have no idea if any of this is intentional, if it was written in due to the unknown future of the show even after being renewed last year, always the plan, or not even touching on the plan. That's why deus ex machina can be both brilliant and convenient (Adaptation). If you execute it well, we, as an audience, can't say for certain how it entered the arena. I mean, specifically as a season finale. Plenty of other examples of it in the show, obviously. almost like it's part of a greater theme?

The Rambling Optimist #4 Where to now

What's the craic. It's been a long time since I've written anything and I haven't really felt the need to to be honest and I'm not going to force it and write crap just for the sake of it. Anyway, I think the last time I wrote anything I was in Faro, waiting to head on to Lagos for my brothers stag do so i'll do a brief summary of what's happened since then. Lagos was sweet, we rented a huge villa (Vila Boavista) with about 8 bedrooms, a pool and a maid. After coming home I began full-time work as a gardener on 4th June 2019 to save up some money over summer. Brother one got married 1st June. I then went on my second brothers stag in July, this time to Lisbon. Another cracking trip. Brother two got married 10th August. I started my Masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology in September and am currently about half way through. My girlfriend started her LPC in Manchester and is working flat out so we see each other roughly every 3rd weekend. I've also gotten really into bitcoin and learning about macro economics which is my new fun fact. How dull lol
Anyway now your caught up, on to what I wanted to focus on for this post. I've been thinking more and more about how I want to develop professionally and what areas of work i'm interested in. I have mixed feelings toward sports psychology. To me, the opportunity to research into the impacts of sport and exercise for physical and mental health seems much more enticing than the opportunity to develop athlete performance. Don't get me wrong, working with athletes would be cool for a time, but I think for me to feel like I'm really making a difference in the world, I'd like to explore the science of psychology and develop my own area of expertise via research/producing published works etc. I think if I were to get a job that is geared towards performance enhancement in sport, I would be doing something I don't have huge amounts of respect for. Yes it is interesting; the results that psychology can have in that area, but for me that's where it stops. It's interesting but not meaningful. It also concerns me that the average salary of a sports psychologist mightn't be enormous and to work with elite athletes or organisations that will pay you more you need years of experience and an impressive reputation. Naturally, there is also the opportunity to work with athletes on their mental health from a well-being perspective rather than a performance-orientated one. For example, transitioning out of sport can be an incredibly challenging time for athletes who perhaps suffer from identity foreclosure and struggle to adapt to life after sport. Again though, I think to do this there is more of a focus on use of existing research to help a small portion of the general population. I would rather focus on conducting new research to help a much broader range of people e.g. sports, children, older adults etc.
On the flip side, how physical activity can positively impact all areas of your health is something I think is under-valued, under-researched and under-used. I have always had a keen interest in physical activity and I feel like I'm willing to push myself harder than most when it comes to exercise. I have experienced the physical and mental benefits of exercise and I want to work with other people to do the same. I would love to work as a health psychologist and design effective interventions for improving cognitive function and well-being throughout the lifetime. One of my main motivations to do this comes from my Grandmother, who unfortunately suffered from Alzheimers towards the end of her life. It was cripplingly sad to see her slowly lose all her memories. If I were able to conduct research into how sport and exercise can slow or delay this process, I think I'd feel like I've made a difference in the world.
I think this stance comes from an eudiamonically-orientated belief about our well-being. I align with eudaimonism and the belief that our lives have no pre-determined meaning. At birth, our sense of self is empty. A blank canvas upon which to draw. Our lives gain meaning according to the people we encounter and experiences we have along the way. In other words, we are not born with a destiny to fulfill, nor do we have inherited passions or goals. Our goals are born of experience. Our well-being is experienced subjectively; mediated by the dissonance between who we are and who we ought to be. My current understanding is that for me to truly experience well-being, I need to work towards making my mark in the world. Making it a better place for others. And making some money along the way.
My next course of action, I think, is to apply for PhD's. This in itself is difficult as they are competitive and very few are funded. Without the funding, it would be impossible for me to afford it so I need to really work hard for the remainder of this year and learn as much as I possibly can to give myself the best chance. I am actually loving the sense of direction I have had since becoming a student again. New Zealand was fun and I wouldn't change it for the world, but it's a superficial happiness in the grand scheme of things. Travelling is essential to becoming a well-rounded individual and it's fantastic when you get the opportunity to do it. But there has to be something more, a greater purpose in life or a greater goal to strive towards.
I dont actually think I covered any of what I intended to in this blog. I had planned on delving into health and talking about the different elements. I think I will start doing that at some stage. I'd like to document my ideas about how people can improve their health, explain how to do things in the gym, hypertrophey, power lifting, bodybuilding; how to incorporate psychology such as mindfulness, self-talk, autonomy, relatedness, visualisation; The health benefits, blood pressure, bone strength, cognitive functioning, mood, optimism. Everything. I think that would be best as a series so maybe when I do that I'll start something other than "The Rambling Optimist". I think this would tie in well with getting my personal trainers qualifications, which im still contemplating doing by the way.
Anyway, I'll leave things there as I need to get on with some work. Deadlines on deadlines on deadlines coming up. Wish me luck.
Peace.
